Yeah, what's up with that? I thought they were advertising a new show for this week. Do I smell re-write?

The previews were very misleading. I think the scenes that they show are from the 2-hour finale which is in May some time. If you listen to the narrator, he says something about everything "leading up to" the 2-hour finale, but he doesn't say when that is or how many filler repeats there are in between.

There are four episodes left - a Sayid episode, a Kate episode, and the two part finale. The last half of the finale is actually two hours long.

That means reruns for the rest of April, and then the four weeks of May will be all new.

Same as every year for most shows. They is 24 episodes in a season. I think the big issue for Lost this year is that it started so early, when they tried to beat other new shows to the punch. Didn't it start in September? Then, rather than finish up in April, they are pushing it all the way to the end of May. They never thought it would be nearly the major hit it is I suppose, so getting 24 weeks to stretch over a 36 week period was quite a trick.

I'm glad 24 didn't start til January this year - while it seemed like forever before we got the new season, it's been great seeing a new episode every week without an interupption.
